I had the worst experience of my life here; after booking a room in advance, the staff denied us the room upon arrival and handed it to someone else at a higher price—unprofessional and unfair. Trust in confirmed bookings is essential, and I cannot recommend this place because of its poor service and lack of professionalism.

The room was new, fresh, and well maintained, but the location and surroundings were terrible, surrounded by slums and not suitable for staying in.

The stay was comfortable and budget‑friendly, with friendly staff and a convenient walk to bus and metro stops; a morning tea or coffee would have been a nice touch.

I spent 24th to 28th March 2026 at Rukmini Guest House in Kolkata and it was a wonderful experience; the peaceful setting made it ideal for unwinding after a hectic day, and owner Mr. Vikram Biswas was kind and helpful, adding to the comfort; the property was clean, the rooms and bathrooms were spacious, and the location offered easy access to shops, restaurants, Swiggy, and Blinkit; a water purifier was handy for refilling drinking water, and check‑in and check‑out were smooth and hassle‑free.
