The rooms were large, the bedding was included, and it was a perfect base for walking or cycling trips, plus the bakery service was great. On the downside, the booking check‑in time was listed as 14 h, but the actual check‑in was 15 h. The rooms were dimly lit, and the cookware was poor.

The cottage sat in a great spot in Brabant and served as a nice base for various outings, with access to the adjacent park’s facilities. But the cottage needed a little touch‑up: half the walls were still painted, the sofa was quite old and sagging, and while it looked tidy at first glance and was cozy, the cleaning was truly disappointing. We’re usually not picky, yet there were dust spots and cobwebs everywhere, the windows were dirty (a fly had landed on one), and the kitchen wasn’t clean either. We had to wash everything before cooking. We reported this to reception, and they said they would inform the cleaners. Also, there were no towels or tea towels provided, so you have to rent those separately. The park itself wasn’t very pleasant; it was a chalet park with various private chalets, lacking that vacation park vibe. On the first evening we already heard shouting and swearing from a row of Polish guests across from us, and people next to us had their TVs on a low volume that caused hearing damage. Unfortunately, we probably won’t book here again.

The reception welcomed us warmly. The house was nicely decorated, the bathroom and kitchen were comfortable, and there was plenty of cookware. The covered terrace was fun, and the nearby hotel had a nice pool. The forested surroundings were lovely. However, some areas could have been cleaner; there was dust in the kitchen, a moldy coffee bag in the machine, and a small toy rolled under the TV cabinet. The cabinet should have been moved and cleaned behind it. I don’t think short‑term guests are expected to do this, but the owner should. The terrace table still had a dirty ashtray full of cigarette butts.

The surroundings were peaceful. The back room of the house, with a table and chairs, was perfect for a fresh dinner. Everything was in good condition and clean. The pool and children’s play area were also appreciated.

The house, surroundings, and bed were great. The only issue was the absence of towels and soap.
