“Overall good hotel near beach”
I stayed at a property that used to be an apartment turned hotel, within a kilometer of Calangute beach. The area has many restaurants, including vegetarian ones right next to the hotel, and taxis are easy to find outside. A large open parking lot is about 50 meters away. The pool was spacious, clean, and well kept, with a staff member always ready to hand out towels. The restaurant sits beside the pool; the food was decent, though service lagged a bit, perhaps because the kitchen is 10 meters outside the main gate. Prices were fair. The rooms were roomy; we booked Family Suites but were told they weren’t pool‑facing, so we paid extra to upgrade to a pool‑facing room on the first floor—though that floor is actually a 1.5‑story level with storage rooms. The second floor is the top. We chose the first floor rooms because we had kids. The room had a hall and a bedroom; the hall had a sofa‑bed and the bedroom a king‑size bed. Both areas had AC, fans, and separate balconies. The TV had Tata Sky with all channels. They supplied two jugs of RO water in case we ran out of bottled water. The hall also had a fridge and a dressing area with a wardrobe and large mirror. Overall, a good property. But pigeons on the balconies left droppings and broken eggs. The paths from the building blocks to the gate, pool, and restaurant were narrow, dirty, and had broken tiles. Toiletries were only provided once at check‑in; I expected a daily shaving kit for my four‑night stay.
