The location is idyllic, the boss and staff are friendly, it’s not crowded, and the food is good. If you’re prepared for everything, everything was fine. At night it was fresh, and the sleeping bag was warm.

The staff gave me a warm welcome right when I arrived and everything went off without a hitch. The surrounding scenery is simply unbeatable, and if you don’t mind a 10 °C lake you can actually take a dip in the little pond. Having dinner and breakfast served on‑site was a real bonus – I left feeling fully recharged. Thanks for the great hospitality; a bit of experience with the SAC‑hut style certainly helps.

The spot is lovely, though cars parked right between the hut and the reservoir were a bit of an eyesore, and the resident cat sometimes wanders into the bedrooms – fine for us but could bother allergy sufferers. Sleeping arrangements felt cramped, with noisy bunk beds and a mix of double and single beds all sharing the same room as the pantry, and we ended up paying about 10 CHF more than a direct booking.
