I feel lucky to have stayed at the White Rose Hostel. Sameera and her family were super friendly and helpful, and they offered great cups of tea :-) Sameera is a fountain of knowledge about sites to visit, transport, food, and shopping in the city and surrounding areas. Nothing negative.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The accommodation had everything you need. It’s a 10‑15 minute walk from the center. The roof terrace is very nice. Because it’s right on the street, it’s quite noisy at night, but Oropax solves the problem.

The hostel was the cleanest place I've ever stayed! The hosts were super friendly and offered great advice on everything. The rooftop was perfect for eating and chilling :) Thanks a lot!

I had a fantastic stay here! The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The location was ideal for my one night in Kandy, allowing me to walk to everything I wanted to see. A favorite feature was the rooftop terrace; if you order take‑out for dinner, you can enjoy it there while taking in a great city view. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return! I was lucky to have the room all to myself for the one night. If the room were fully booked, I could imagine storage space becoming a bit of an issue, but for me it worked out perfectly.

I traveled to my home country, Sri Lanka, for a short holiday and planned to visit Kandy. When I started looking for a place to stay, almost everything was fully booked and very expensive because it was the Esala Perahera season. Then, I suddenly came across this place and decided to book it. From the moment I arrived, the owners welcomed me warmly and gave me some great advice about what to do and where to go in Kandy. The place was very clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and I had a really good night’s sleep. I also met some lovely roommates during my stay. I chose the female dorm, and it was very comfortable and cosy. I’m really happy that I found this place, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy. It was a lovely experience, and I would happily stay here again!
