The location is great with beautiful, private trails, the family running it is super kind, very helpful and knowledgeable, and we received a lot of interesting information; definitely back again.

The location is central and within a private reserve where you can walk, and you can request to use the family kitchen; the room is very small, with no space to put belongings or a coat rack (only a small dresser), the power outlet is poorly positioned, the shower water is almost cold, the tourist corner feels cold, and the reception is reserved.

“Tolle Unterkunft in Monteverde”

We spent a few nights at Santuario Ecologico Monteverde and it was very nice there. The Salazar family welcomed us warmly. We got a good authentic glimpse into local life and many great tips for excursions. We even got to join a movie night. Breakfast was super tasty and freshly prepared for us. The coffee was excellent! Right in the garden there were many trails and we saw some animals. Monkeys occasionally came by to drink. The location is ideal because it’s on the edge of the place and thus quieter. Still, the restaurants are only a few hundred meters away. If you’re looking for a family‑touch accommodation that cares about environmental preservation, this is the place. Thanks to the whole team for the lovely days.

You’re in the middle of nature. The bed is comfortable. The family is pretty dry but tries to be pleasant. The room is very small and lacks a touch of care; the bathroom isn’t renovated, hot water doesn’t come out, there’s no toilet brush, and no wardrobe to hang clothes. Being eco‑friendly doesn’t mean you can’t have a more pleasant stay and bathroom, especially considering it was one of the pricier places in Monteverde.
