The room was spacious and close to Viseu’s centre, ideal for those unfamiliar with the city. The only downside was that the bathroom was shared with other guests, though it wasn’t a big issue.

The kitchen, toilets, balcony, room, and the location of the property were all good. The mattress was unsatisfactory, there were audible noises from other rooms, and the TV was old.

Luis communicated well, answering any question and giving useful tips on restaurants and catching the bus to the city centre; we appreciated his quick replies. Viseu is a lovely city with friendly, helpful people. The bed was very comfortable, but the covers were thin, slippery, and a bit cool at night, even with the extra blanket we found in the wardrobe. Weather was a bit unlucky – normally the covers would be warm enough. Other than that, everything was great.

The host was very kind and responsive. The location is good with a parking spot. The room is large :) The mattress needs to be replaced; it’s sagging in places. A mirror and a dresser in the room would be a big plus. There’s a lack of sound insulation from the stairs and neighbouring rooms.
