We adored every detail of our single night at Ryokoji Temple; we wish we could have stayed longer. The accommodation is brand new, well‑furnished, and the food—beautifully presented and expertly cooked by the hosts—was a highlight. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, and the hosts were welcoming and invited us to the evening prayer service, which we were glad to join. It’s an exceptional base for exploring Mt Aso, and you’ll love it.
