I noticed the room was a Higland cow room, pretty tight for two adults but that's normal in older buildings, yet it was still gorgeous, and I wish there had been a second chair.

Everything was clean and the staff were excellent.

We were in Ayr for a wedding and only stayed overnight, so we didn't use the hotel’s facilities, but the staff were very helpful; the breakfast was nice, though the tea was awful because it seemed the tea jug had been used for coffee before, a small gripe that really needs fixing.
