I liked that the host was always attentive before our arrival and offered various solutions for the cash tax that has to be paid. He was also very kind throughout. Unfortunately, the place was on the other side of the city; the bus is close, but if you arrive after midnight it definitely wouldn’t be a reliable option.

The room was tiny, cluttered with old, useless furniture, and it was far from the city center. The owner wouldn’t let me unload my luggage early, even though it could have been done. Calling it a B&B is misleading because there’s no breakfast, no coffee machine, and no kettle.

The room was spacious and welcoming. Because it’s marketed as Bed & Breakfast, you’re legally required to offer breakfast; otherwise it’s just a room rental. In our case we were shamelessly told “there is no breakfast,” with no apology or attempt to fix it. With two kids, that caused a lot of trouble. They never answered the phone, only text messages.
