Jackie and John were very welcoming, the facilities were spotlessly clean and the décor was tastefully done; I loved staying in the former home of Gertrude Bell, and although I was in the top room and had to climb more stairs, Jackie helped me with my bags, which was really helpful.

The hosts were amazing, spending a lot of time and effort explaining the building’s history.

The owners welcomed me warmly and served a high‑quality breakfast with meat each morning, always with a smile; the room was spotless and comfortable, nothing more could be requested—highly recommend this B&B.

The place had plenty of character, being 150 years old, and it exuded a lot of charm.
