I stayed in a pretty little house on stilts right on a natural island with a view of the cove. The owner kept changing her promises as she liked, which felt like typical tourist baiting.

The view from the room is pretty, but we were not happy with the stay at all. The rooms are made of metal and lack heating, so they get very cold. Judith left a gas stove for us, but once we turned it off the room cooled quickly. She said she would bring hot packs for the night, but when it got dark she told us that because the stove was on she wouldn't let us keep the hot water bags, even though someone was ill. In the mornings there is no running water because the pipes freeze. The trip to the port is short but expensive and not included in the price. From the port to the center you need a taxi. We had to leave one night early because we couldn't stand the cold in the room. Not recommended.

The local house was beautiful and very spacious with a nice deck. The whole family was friendly and welcoming, and the dinner was delicious too. It was very cold at night, so bring very warm clothes.

The stay was perfect; without internet connection you can enjoy the lake's beauty and the stars. Breakfast is brought at the time you arrange with the host, there is a reasonably priced dinner option and the food is excellent 🤩. It can be very cold and being on an island makes heating difficult; the water pressure is low but sufficient, just a bit of patience. I don't see it as a negative, but it's worth keeping in mind; all in all, it’s totally worth it ❤️.

The view was beautiful, they helped us with tour bookings, pickup and drop‑off, and gave us thermal bags to cope with the Uros cold. We saw the sunset and the place was very comfortable.
