“Geweldige ervaring om helemaal te onthaasten.”

The surroundings were tranquil, the boat itself was cozy, and I stayed on one of the four boats that are close to each other. Waking up in the morning while nature stirred, watching flamingos and other birds searching for food at low tide in the Ria Formosa, was relaxing. A small boat (1 person) could take you to the coast. Next time I’d book two nights instead of one for a complete experience. The lounge chair outside was comfortable. The ladder to get back into the boat was awkward because it was too bright under the boat, possibly due to a recessed rod.

“A little sad”

We were disappointed because the place didn’t meet our expectations. The room was dirty: damp linens, a few hairs, a yellow‑stained pillow, and a sofa covered in sand from previous guests. Towels were stored in a small compartment on the boat in what looked like garbage bags, which seemed unhygienic. We didn’t use them. English communication was difficult; the guide used a translator app in his language and then showed us the English translation on his phone. We weren’t told where the life jackets were or how to use the cooking facilities, even though they were available. Early in the morning someone came onto our boat and started doing something with no explanation; after we asked, he said “water.” That was fine, but we should have been informed beforehand because an unexpected person on the boat felt invasive. Customer service: 3/10. Cleanliness: 3/10. Directions/access to the boat: 2/10. The sunset views and atmosphere: 9/10. I still wouldn’t recommend this place. In my view, the boat itself has definitely seen better days, and our service experience was very poor.

The location was special and the experience unique. The combined toilet/shower was a bit awkward and the space was tiny. The floor stayed wet for a long time after showering, and the toilet lid got wet too; you have to dry everything with a cloth, which is tedious. The boats are close together; a bit more distance would be nice because not every neighbor respects the quiet.
