“Nice for sun but expensive for the conditions”

The pools were great and breakfast was included. The staff were very friendly. The air conditioning was extremely noisy and the power kept cutting out. The whole place felt like a construction site around it.

The location, sea view, and architecture were great. The room was noisy because of nearby nightlife, it smelled stale, and the toilet flush was defective.

“Great if you choose “sea view” option.”

The hotel sits on the town’s edge. You can walk along the seafront westward for 2 km to a defensive tower, or keep going to the next tower about 5 km from the hotel. Another walk leads to Sliema, roughly 3 km via the streets. Walking to Valletta would take twice as long; we didn’t try it. Across the street is a large, multi‑story supermarket with reasonable prices. Heading toward the town center, a sandy beach fronts the bay, marking the start of an area packed with discos, pubs, and restaurants that get crowded at dusk. We recommend Andrew’s Bar & Restaurant; the Indian restaurant Monarch is also quite good and both are very cheap. A bus stop is right by the hotel, and several routes are convenient, though buses are often slightly late or “out of service” unexpectedly. Some drivers claim the credit‑card reader is broken and accept only cash without issuing a ticket; a broken printer is another common excuse. To us, this looks like a scam, as a ticket is valid for two hours (provided it’s a standard route, not a TD line). The hotel enjoys a picturesque setting by the bay, but be careful when choosing your room. If you don’t book a sea view, your balcony might overlook the construction of twin twenty‑story towers—meaning noise and dust from just twenty meters away across the street. We had a sea‑facing room, so we couldn’t complain. The rooms are medium‑sized. The balcony is small but has enough space for a small table and two chairs. Bottled water is replenished daily. Both the fridge and the safe work well. Breakfast is more than good, and you can sit outside on the terrace.
