The room was okay but too hot. This area isn’t meant for tourists; there are no tourist spots nearby. The noise level day and night was deafening—no exaggeration. There was no hot water. The reception was unstaffed most of the time, so questions couldn’t be answered.

Viktor was very helpful, the girls at the restaurant were gorgeous, Heaven guided us on Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, Kilifu the porter and chef Emanuel were outstanding, and Salu the small guide for Materuni waterfalls and Rau Forest was unique!

For what you pay it’s acceptable. The terrace is pretty good. The guy at the entrance charged me a 4% fee for paying by card (illegal), and worst of all, on the last day I was running from a man who harassed me on the street—typical “no”‑reject‑but‑keep‑trying” guy. He was at the reception when I got there and tried to pry information about where I’d stay, etc. Be very careful.

We stayed at Climbers Home for two nights. The place is clean, breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is very kind and welcoming. We’d choose it again and recommend it for its excellent value.

Great welcome, we were met at the hotel entrance! Our late arrival still let us eat at the restaurant, which closes at 22:30. The room was great but no hot water and noisy because of a lot of foot traffic.
