The staff were very accommodating and the food excellent, though our booking was initially incorrect – not the hotel’s fault – and they fixed it quickly; I didn’t like the error, but it was resolved without issue.

The staff were very friendly, the private garage was handy, and the rooms were very clean; I was double‑charged by the hotel, but they refunded me immediately and apologized, which was good given the property had only changed ownership three weeks ago.

The place is in a great spot, but the flashing smoke detector above the bed really needs an upgrade.

The breakfast was very nice. Both Sue and Nat were nice and very helpful, especially around us parking in the garage etc. We wish them every success in their new venture. We stayed in the attic room overlooking the sea. The room was fine it was just that it is very difficult to use the shower over the bath due to the slope in the roof and the door banged against the bath on opening, again due to the sloping roof
