The area is quite quiet and close to the metro station, the kitchen is handy (the supermarket is just around the corner) because, from our point of view, there were only a few decent places to eat. The cleaning service seems poorly organised – when we arrived the room wasn’t ready even though it was after check‑in time, the room wasn’t properly cleaned, the floor was dirty and the kitchen bin wasn’t emptied. The window didn’t open at first (locked), and it couldn’t be unlocked because the lock was broken. We reported it and it was apparently fixed 2‑3 days later without us being told (it eventually opened but only a small crack). It was very warm in the room (we were on the 8th floor). Since we were staying a week we were told that the room would be cleaned halfway through the stay, but the cleaning only involved new towels and emptying the bins, no wiping and no toilet paper was refilled.

“Good price/quality ratio”

The room was spacious and clean, the fridge worked and there was no hallway noise. The only downside was the lack of air‑conditioning, so on hot summer days the room stayed quite warm both day and night.

“One part was great and the other part was not great at all.”

The staff were great and very lovely, and I was welcomed warmly when I arrived. I didn’t like that as soon as the tap is touched, whatever room it is a mega noise in the entire floor maybe the building – the bathroom taps make a huge and very annoying noise that wakes everyone up. In 9 days the room wasn’t cleaned up, the bed sheets weren’t changed, and no toilet paper was provided, and no clean towels were provided as well. That wasn’t great at all.

The location is optimal – a 20‑minute walk to Big Ben, Tesco supermarket right in front of the property, the metro stop and train station a few metres away. When we arrived in the room we found the bed a piazza e mezzo and, being two adults, it wasn’t the best, and in the bathroom there was no toilet paper.

“Great location, but the whole experience felt more pretentious than comfortable.”

The spot is excellent – only about five minutes from Vauxhall and less than ten from Kennington, in an area of London I really like. The room was clean and the windows provided surprisingly good sound insulation when closed. The whole building felt a little too pretentious for my taste. The security/reception setup at the entrance was quite intrusive: at check‑in I was even asked why I was staying there, and every time I entered or left the building I felt noticeably observed. The room itself was extremely small and very minimal. It was also unbearably warm, so despite the good window insulation I had to keep the windows open, which meant dealing with a lot of traffic noise. On top of that, the plumbing was surprisingly loud – I could clearly hear the water whenever I, or apparently someone in a neighbouring room, used the shower or bathroom. There is also an expensive café in the building, and the atmosphere at reception somehow made something as normal as ordering food through Uber Eats and walking past them to collect it feel unnecessarily awkward.
