The pool, garden upkeep, housekeeping quality, and koi pond were all great, but the breakfast lacked a bit of variety.

Bubu Suite is a small, charming hotel with a beautiful pool and a lovely garden full of greenery and sculptures, giving the whole place a calm, relaxing vibe. I stayed in a first‑floor room with a balcony that was beautiful and very quiet. What really sets this place apart is the staff—they’re genuinely warm and friendly, but they’re also incredibly attentive, noticing the little things and often offering help before you even ask. Having an on‑site restaurant was another big plus; the breakfasts were delicious, and I liked being able to order dinner or a fresh smoothie in the evening without leaving. It’s not far from central Ubud, just a scooter or Grab ride away, which is no problem. Such a wonderful stay, especially for the price, and I’d happily return. On my last night, I had some exceptionally loud neighbours, but honestly, no amount of soundproofing could have helped with that!
