“Fantastic time with fantastic friends.”
The place was close to our destination. It would have been nice to have coffee in the room or lobby, but otherwise it was great.

The rooms were super dirty, and the front desk representative Brian was not helpful at all. We had to leave and check into another hotel because it was just that bad.

I updated as much as possible. There was no elevator, which was an issue for my elderly mother who has leg problems. The comforters were stained, and there was no room service; they didn’t come by to pick up dirt or towels and didn’t leave us clean ones. We were told to bring our towels to the front desk, and when my daughter brought them, the manager—who I assume was the shorter, stocky guy—was very rude and ugly, telling my daughter that housekeeping is only in the morning and that if we don’t bring towels next time we wouldn’t get any more. That was a big turnoff. The TV wasn’t programmed correctly, so I couldn’t watch anything, and after my daughter had that incident we didn’t want to go back down to ask for help. My 6'5" football‑player son visited and went down, spoke with someone, and the guy came right up and fixed the problem, which was a plus. The noise was ridiculous, probably because it was AAMU University Homecoming with a lot of younger people, and I felt like I was sleeping in the hallway. It was loud. For what I paid for three days and two nights it wasn’t all bad, though. This is not the Redroof I was expecting. The one in Texas was way different and more upscale, so my expectations were higher, which is why I was disappointed. Also, there was no breakfast; I thought there would be at least a cereal bar, muffins, etc.

They had cockroaches, and they didn’t refund my money back.

I liked the location—very central to everything. My room was nice and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helped with everything during the stay. The pictures matched how the room actually looked. The TV wasn’t connected to cable, or the cable didn’t work. The shower handle didn’t work, and the front desk had to get maintenance to fix it, but in the meantime they gave us pliers so we could turn the water off and on. The floor had a few possible paint splatters, but it was fine. The phone in the room didn’t work either, so we had to walk to the front desk instead of calling. The room was smaller than it appears in pictures, but it looked like the pictures. It was only the two of us staying in the room, so it was good. The hallway was a little creepy, but once you’re in the room the stay was great.
