The staff were friendly and there was free buffet breakfast. The room was too small to open a suitcase, and it was right across from the bathroom, so every time we passed it a strange odor hit us.

The spot was in prime time, just a few minutes from the main street, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The bathroom design felt a bit unhygienic, with the toilet and showerhead cramped into the same space, and the mattresses on the bunk beds were a bit too stiff for a comfortable night’s sleep.

The location and staff were good, but the rest was not nice. We received the passcode in advance. Mold was everywhere, the toilet was so cramped you couldn’t sit straight, the sink was full of hair and the drain was clogged. The room got extremely humid, so our clothes stayed damp and stank a day later. The bed was manageable but smaller than average, and the walls were thin so we could hear everything people were doing.

In Hongdae, transportation was convenient; on the first day I missed the front desk staff, so I sent them an email in advance and was able to check in by myself at midnight.
