If you’re after peace, rest, and relaxation, this cozy spot is ideal. Janaina at reception was amazing, super attentive and polite. I liked everything – the house is cozy, the environment is very peaceful, and the master suite is the best. I recommend it.

We stayed in 2026, and the pictures on Booking made the lodge look cozy and welcoming, which wasn’t the case. The photos are outdated, the place needs upkeep, looks abandoned, has a strong mold smell, and we had a roach problem—apparently poison was sprayed right in front of our room. The room was dark and the window wouldn’t open. Breakfast was basic but well served. It’s by the sea (shallow beach), but far from Búzios’ main tourist area; the lodge’s street is gravel, and the side streets used to get there are seriously congested. We had a serious traffic jam, left the car on the street, and walked to the lodge during the night. We tried contacting the owner for help, but she never responded. She seemed indifferent to hospitality. We do not recommend.

The location was great, and the host was very friendly and helpful. I almost didn’t like it, but honestly, the place is beautiful and wonderful, though it looked a bit abandoned. I just felt it deserved a bit more care for such a lovely spot. It’s not a complaint—I truly have nothing to criticize.

The place looked abandoned, overgrown with weeds, a cluttered barbecue, a leaf‑filled garden, and a pool covered in slime. There were no staff present, so we waited about half an hour for someone to unlock the door. The owner greeted us with no empathy, even complaining that I had called her to ask for the door to be opened. The rooms smelled of mold, and there was no one to give us information. We felt abandoned on a dark, deserted street with no security at night. It was a property that should not be listed. The sense was that the house was unused and unmaintained, and the owner improvised three rooms to accommodate us.

The place was pretty dirty and smelled awful. When we first opened the door the room hit us with a strong cleaning‑chemical odor, which later turned into a wet‑dog smell. My friend's towels even had a urine scent. I wouldn't stay here again.
