The stay felt like an absolute fairy tale; the extraordinary interiors, rich in handcrafted woodwork and classic alpine charm, give the hotel an unforgettable personality. The location is unbeatable, tucked away in a quiet corner yet just a minute’s walk from the train station and Gornergrat Bahn. On top of that, the stunning spa and pool grotto provided the perfect, cozy retreat to unwind. The only minor detail missing in the room was a corkscrew/wine opener to enjoy an evening bottle of wine by ourselves. While the vintage, eccentric style is full of charm, a few small room amenities could benefit from subtle modern updates.
