“We felt scammed; the room we booked looked like not even 1% of what they provided. I did not take pictures of the room b”
Nothing positive, everything was bad or worse. We had a terrible experience at this hotel on our first day in Vietnam. The room we booked looked completely different from the one we were actually given, making us feel misled and scammed. After a 23+ hour flight, all we wanted was a comfortable place to rest near Bui Vien, but the air conditioning didn’t work at all and the room had no fan—it was a sauna. We reported the issue to the night‑shift front desk clerk and asked for another room, but he insisted the AC was working and claimed no other rooms were available. The room was unbearably hot and humid, with indoor temperatures feeling just as hot as outside, so we didn’t sleep that night. To make matters stranger, a random woman knocked on our door asking for a man, which made us wonder if the place was haunted or suspicious. Everything we claimed was factual, no bias or exaggeration. We had to find another hotel early the next morning at 6:00 am and left two nights before our reservation ended without asking for any refund. We were never proactively informed about the possibility of switching rooms the following day, which was frustrating. This was an awful way to start our trip to Vietnam. We felt cheated, mistreated, and deeply disappointed. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had while traveling worldwide. I’m writing this review from our new actual hotel stay, where the AC actually has cold air and the room looked exactly as advertised. BEWARE: Make sure the room matches your booking and test the air conditioning BEFORE paying. We paid upfront before inspecting the room, and we deeply regret it. Don’t make the same mistake we did. A message to the property owner: honesty and equal treatment are the foundations of a successful, long‑term business.
