The spot right on the lake is gorgeous; even a street‑side room still lets you enjoy the view at breakfast, on the beer garden terrace or in the restaurant. The breakfast is good, and the restaurant always has something tasty. There are also smaller dishes (“Brotzeiten”) for evenings when you don’t want a full meal. The free public transport ticket that comes with the guest card for city buses and to Walchensee is a nice touch. The bathroom in our room felt a bit cramped, but that’s just how the building is designed; it was otherwise fine.

The lakefront location is great, the relaxation lounge is laid‑back, the room with a balcony facing the water is lovely, the breakfast is extensive, and the restaurant is good.

The view of Kochelsee at breakfast and dinner is beautiful. The breakfast is rich, the menu is large with very tasty dishes, and the service is very good and friendly.
