“In general very calm and nice but would not recommend to friends”
The vibe is okay, very traditional. It’s very old and poorly maintained. Shower walls are yellow and the paper walls in the room are wrapped.

We loved the place; we spent one of our honeymoon days there, and they gave us the best room—it was wonderful. The experience was a 10/10, and we also ordered the Hida beef dinner, which was another great choice. We’re thrilled.

We were assigned a room with a private hot spring, but we still went to the private bath and the large public bath, which was pretty good—highly recommend for anyone who enjoys soaking. No negatives.

The staff was incredibly kind and the whole experience was fantastic. The water was really nice, and the private bath in the bedroom was incredible. Highly recommend.

It’s a very pretty place; the décor makes it feel like a unique space. The food was delicious and among the best during our stay, and the hot springs were very clean, providing a very relaxing experience. Another plus is that it’s easy to find once you get off the bus, even though it’s up the mountain—getting to the spot isn’t hard. The staff were completely friendly. They also offer laundry and dryer service. On the downside, some parts of the place feel a bit neglected, partly because of the humidity that comes with hot springs; for example, there are damp‑stained carpets in the hallways.
