The staff were extremely friendly and helped pick out sights and arrange transfers. Breakfast was also great.

Check‑in was straightforward, and the hostel is a pleasant little spot a bit off the main street. It’s clean and has a quiet vibe. Breakfast was freshly prepared. I was lucky to get a spot in a 6‑bed dorm by myself. The pool appeared clean and was tidied in the mornings. I only booked one night as a stopover, and for that price the value was very good. The food was tasty and affordable, and the outdoor area was very welcoming. The bed was quite saggy, and the room smelled very musty. There were no large lockers for backpackers to lock up items. It’s a fair distance from the center—about 25 minutes by tuk‑tuk to Colombo station.

It used to be such a cute place and still has a lot of potential, but the pool was filthy; when I asked, they said it had been cleaned that day, yet it looked green and not like the last time.
