“Eine Ferienwohnung, nutzbar, aber bei dem Übernachtungspreis die Erwartungen nicht erfüllt.”
We could take over the apartment right when we arrived, thanks to the pre‑arranged check‑in window. The pre‑ordered and extra-paid rolls of bread were ready early outside the apartment entrance. The additional paid winemaker breakfast was generous and took place in a pleasant, large breakfast room. Coffee filters for the machine were available and the machine worked perfectly. The heating was also very good. I had to book this place after another one was overbooked, and it ended up costing more than twice as much. The view was directly onto the roofs in front of the window and other roofs. The windows couldn’t be darkened, the existing shutters were rusted and immovable. The lock on the front door was very jerky. The bathroom mirrors were mounted too high, so my smaller companion could barely use them. A second mirror was on the back of the wardrobe, and every time a hanger hit it. The shower was tiny, about 70 cm by 70 cm, but it worked well. The kitchen had two electric plates, but the layout felt awkward. In all the other rooms or apartments I’d booked, I could watch the TV from bed, but not in this expensive place. The “First TV program / ARD” was missing, the remote’s range was too short and didn’t work from the kitchen table. One bedside lamp switch was broken. The pillows were very large and there were no alternatives. Parking was either fully or partially on the public street. In short, the apartment is usable, but the price‑to‑value ratio is completely off from our perspective.
