The lagoon is truly gorgeous, as is the village and the lighthouse. Breakfast is simple but acceptable. The room’s acoustics are poor; you can hear conversations, knocks, and chairs scraping from the restaurant next to the room both morning and night. There’s no hair dryer in the room; you have to request one and return it afterward. When we entered the room, a strong air freshener smell overwhelmed us, making it almost impossible to stay inside; the scent only eased the next day. The room feels damp with condensation because the shower is open and there’s no exhaust fan to turn on while bathing. Some parts of the room show mold. Given the nightly rate compared to the regional average and the reviews we saw, it fell short.

I liked the personal touch of the service, especially from the owner – Paulo. He reached out beforehand, gave the best route for arrival, and shared tips about the city, tours, and restaurants. He was always helpful and present when we needed him. Breakfast was great with a wide choice of items. The place is very pretty, the rooms very comfortable. One night we dined at the hotel and the kitchen also surprised us. The only suggestion I have is that the pool could be heated in the future for better use, since the area has cold days throughout the year.

By the lake, a quiet place, beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and a very tasty breakfast! I plan to return in the summer.
