Everything was perfect; the cottage was magnificent, with a very picturesque view, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was good too. The owners are very kind and passionate, sharing their love for the place. The only note is that the bathroom is external, but it was private and we were told about it beforehand, so we were aware. The bathroom is still very warm and cozy.

Our little cottage was amazing. From the start we were greeted by Angus, who was so warm and welcoming. We received plenty of information about what to see and do. Loved the cabin—it was so nice and cozy and had its own little glow worm grotto. The view is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend staying here if you come to Waitomo. My favourite part was meeting Dougal the lamb, the happiest little lamb you'll ever meet.

The spectacular panoramic views, the stunning deep outside bath, roasting marshmallows over the fire, and the ability to bring our dogs were all highlights. Angus was an amazing host who took time to greet us and share local knowledge. The pond walk with rhododendrons and waterlilies was a real treasure. We didn’t stay long enough.

The accommodation is amazing. It’s located in native bushland on a family‑run farm. A beautiful lake is just a short walk away, and the bird life right outside the door is so magical to listen to. They even have their own little glowworm grotto on the property! The hosts are so lovely and have huge knowledge of the area and history of Waitomo, the caves, and the family farm. Cabins are warm and inviting, and you can see the effort and small personal touches that go into the place. Lovely Continental breakfast is provided, and being able to sit outside and take in the exceptional views is absolute bliss. Absolutely nothing.
