“Perfect place to retreat the hustle and bustle of the touristy Bangkok.”
We opted for Thai breakfasts every day, each dish a new delight: congee, noodle soup, rice, and more. The spread also included a trio of ripe Thai fruits—pineapple, guava, rambutan, papaya, watermelon, etc. Dining on the terrace before the hot Thai sun rose, the shade of an ancient fig tree made it a real pleasure, with diverse birds, monitor lizards, and a backyard orange tabby adding to the charm. Honestly, nothing stood out as a negative.
The room is spacious and quiet in a neighborhood outside the city center—no tourists in sight and very few English speakers, even in restaurants. A food street is 150 m away, convenient for cheap meals. The owner/manager is very responsive via message and even arranged a taxi to the airport the next morning. There is no reception desk; the rooms are in a residential building and a bit hard to locate. It’s a bit far from everything, but for a single night it was fine.
The place is calm, away from the road, with a terrace by the canal. The studio is well‑furnished and comfortable. The neighborhood is far from the Banckok cultural area; we took a boat, but it’s about 2 km to reach it. The area isn’t touristy, so there are very few restaurants.
“Lots of space”
The room is large and bathed in light. Nothing else to add.
“Quiet, homey and wonderfully hosted”
It’s quiet and homely with a stunning garden full of birds. Waking up to a local breakfast under an 80‑year‑old fig tree while spotting monitor lizards in the canal is the best start. Street food is a short walk away, and the hosts are wonderful—nothing was excessive.
