This hotel was fantastic, cozy, with great service and an excellent location – just a few minutes’ walk left to Taksim Square and the main boulevard. Breakfast was abundant, the owner was very nice, and although I booked an economy room he upgraded me to a fourth‑floor room and let me check in at 12 pm. All in all, it was superb.

Other than the very friendly staff and central location, the rooms were shabby, disgusting, old, dirty, filthy, unhygienic—absolutely horrific. We checked in as a family, got two rooms on the 2nd floor, both were shocking. Very disappointed, money wasted, lousy experience, horrible two days.

The staff were extremely polite and responsive; they upgraded my room at no cost, and to my surprise it had an electric stove, all necessary cookware, and even a Turkish coffee pot. The room was clean and tidy with good linens. The location was superb, within walking distance to Pl. Taksim and Dolmabahçe, and there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient. The hotel isn’t new, but that doesn’t diminish its quality or coziness.
