“A gem of a hotel near the subway in Tongzhou Beiyuan!”
I loved the lobby and the hotel’s decor, and the staff were really friendly; my twin room was very comfortable with good lighting and a big TV, the bathroom was nice, it felt luxurious yet was very cheaply priced, and the location was good—just a few minutes’ walk to the subway and a reasonably‑sized mall across the road; I stayed because Beijing Universal was only 6 stops away and I’d love to return when I visit again and explore the surrounding area, which has some good sightseeing spots. I paid 28 RMB for breakfast, which isn’t bad; there was a wide variety of dishes, but the hot food was not hot—it was tepid and quickly got cold because the heat wasn’t high enough to keep it warm, and the fruit‑juice machine wasn’t working, which was a shame; if those two issues were fixed I’d happily eat there again.
