Nice, affordable and well‑located. The bed was comfortable, breakfast and the bar were good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The bathroom is small and sits like a glass cabin in the middle of the room, and there is noise between rooms.

The minimalist, slightly quirky design is typical of Ruby hotels, and the tea and coffee bar on each floor is a great touch. The boiling‑water tap is handy for filling a hot‑water bottle. The mattress is comfortable and the bedroom floors are hygienic and solid. The hotel sits on a pedestrian street full of local bars, cafés and restaurants, and Waterloo Station is a 300‑meter walk away.

Not cheap, but you’re in the middle of town. The staff are super‑friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, clean and the breakfast is top quality. Definitely recommended. I asked for a room with a separate bathroom, but I got a wheelchair‑access room. Nothing was wrong, but the floor was uneven so water ran onto the hallway. It seemed like a known issue given the state of the laminate. The complaint was taken seriously, though it couldn’t be fixed overnight. I couldn’t be bothered for those two nights. The coffee was delicious!
