Ulrika is an amazing person! The old farm, huge plot by the stream, chickens, peacocks, cats—it's a little slice of paradise! It feels like stepping into a house from the early 20th century, with lovingly preserved antique furniture and a house full of quirks. The modern shower in an antique bathroom is a nice touch. We shared the bathroom and toilet with other guests, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. And the breakfast—Ulrika lovingly prepares, cooks, and plates everything, so much that we packed it all to avoid losing any part. A stay that Astrid Lindgren couldn't have written better. Thanks, Ulrika! It’s a bit off the beaten path, but for many people that’s an advantage, and for us it was. The location is a 5‑minute bike ride, with a prize‑winning bakery, a small supermarket, and a pizzeria nearby—so if you’re looking for peace, it’s not a drawback.

I love staying in unique places, and Berte is definitely one of those; the area feels peaceful with animals roaming freely in the gardens. I arrived late and Ulrika cooked dinner for me, served in a seating area next to my room. Breakfast was incredible—so many choices and freshly made. After that, Ulrika played piano and sang a couple of amazing songs. I’ll definitely stay again when in the area and plan to stay more than one night to fully experience everything.

Very cozy and welcoming place! The host was super friendly and I felt truly welcomed. A lovely environment to relax in and an amazing breakfast with homemade jams, freshly squeezed orange juice, and banana pancakes.
