I was close to Hunters Plaza and Papatoetoe night market, and the beds were comfy with nice sheets and duvet that kept the room cool on hot days. However, the bathroom had a strong unpleasant smell that spread through the room when the door was open, likely from the shower drain, and the toilet brush was covered in toilet paper and visibly dirty, hanging next to the toilet in full view.

Having stayed at Luxery and Budget Hotels worldwide, 3 Palms Lodge turned out to be the best accommodation I've experienced, and I really enjoyed it.

The place is close to the airport, but the accommodation was very noisy from the street and the roommates, so I can't recommend it if you want a restful night.

The facilities were very clean, the continental breakfast was huge, and a large shared kitchen was available. The "large double bed" was indeed very large!
