“Don't go to place like this”
It was an awful place; they cancelled my reservation just before I checked in. I had travelled a long way to get there, only to find the hotel had closed and cancelled my booking with no notice.
The location is suitable if you plan to hike Adams Peak, and the owner is pleasant though English is limited. The view from the hotel is good. Unfortunately, there’s no wifi in the room—only around the reception area. The meals are very basic with limited options. I stayed for 4 nights and the sheets were never changed. On Saturday night, a party with loud music from speakers next to my window went on until 3 am.
Customer care was good, the price reasonable, and the soothing environment was appreciated.
The location was beautiful, staff were friendly, and the room was pleasant. However, it was hard to sleep at night because a group of guests in the adjacent room were very noisy; with only about 18 rooms, they could have placed those noisy guests further away.
It was a very nice and cozy hotel, ideal for a short stay in Maskeliya. The staff were fantastic and very caring. The wifi was slow.
