From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We felt warmly welcomed and nothing seemed too much trouble. We hadn’t planned to dine out that evening, but the quick service and available table let us grab a meal even though it was late. Breakfast was freshly prepared and of high quality. On the morning of our departure, taxis were hard to find, but Hilary went out of her way to help resolve the issue. The hotel is very friendly with exceptional service. Thank you.

The food was good and better than I’d imagined. Our noise problem was somewhat addressed when we received a complimentary meal at checkout, which helped. The location was not what I expected, being in the middle of a residential area. The bathroom, described as a wet room, felt very dated and disappointed me. The pillows were lumpy. The room was next to two exit doors and was very noisy. Staff seemed stretched thin and not especially eager to see guests. The selection of 0.0% beers was poor.

Evening meal was very good, although the staff weren't very friendly. Breakfast experience was not good. We arrived at our table at 8.25 am. Our order was taken about half an hour later at 9 am. No apology was given to us for the wait. We ordered full English and poached eggs on toast with extra toast. We received most of our order at 9.40, but not the extra toast. That never actually arrived. The poached eggs on toast were cold, but I was so hungry, I ate them anyway. Again no apology was given for the wait to us, but other tables were apologised to. It's almost like we didn't exist. Not a very nice experience at all
