The concrete was fairly even and the parking spaces were decent. They reuse peepee‑covered mattress toppers.

I didn’t like anything about Motel 6. The room was infested with roaches and mildew, a bee was present, and there were large holes for rodents to enter; the curtain was filthy and didn’t close fully, the door lock felt unsafe, the room smelled damp, and the pillows were flat. My husband and I didn’t sleep at all, so we will never stay overnight at Motel 6 in Laurel, Mississippi. The biggest issue was the unsafe shower—mildew holes in the tile, rust around the showerhead, and a rusty, dusty toilet paper holder that fell apart.

I didn’t eat breakfast there. The room was extremely dirty and old, the mirror had a huge crack, the caulking around the tub was moldy, and the room had a strange odor.
