good location. I planned a trip around this hotel so I could work remote connected to WiFi from my room. First off, I had no WiFi. Front desk did not help me. Missed a work call that was very important to be on. Front desk told me to call their WiFi provider and figure it out myself, which i did not have time to do. this was day 1 of my trip- they did not follow up or do anything to assist the remainder of my trip causing me to have to go to a coffee shop so I could work on my 3 day trip. AC was struggling to get below 74 at all while it was 90+ all week

The staff were friendly and understanding. I had to leave that night because there were roaches in my room.

“Would not recommend”

Scott, one of the staff, went above and beyond. When we first arrived, our room keys wouldn’t work, and Scott happened to be walking down the hallway and offered to fix it. We asked for a different, more handicap‑accessible room and he quickly moved us. The new room was average, but the AC leaked onto the carpet, soaking it, and the toilet leaked from the tank every time we flushed, with water pouring over the tank onto the floor.

“Roaches”

The location is great, close to the city and Folly Beach. Room 304 needs treatment: roaches crawled on the floors and bathroom walls, the hallway carpet was filthy, the hallways smelled bad and were hot and stuffy, and there was rust on the pool floor. We feared the roaches would get into our belongings and bring them home. We won’t stay here again.

“Glad we came”

The lobby offered a nice view and the price was cheap, plus breakfast was very nice. The front desk man was nice, and the room itself was just good value for money. It was a bit far away from downtown, a bit dated, and there was a funny smell in reception.
