“Worst Experience at Ganesh Lodge Tirupati. Dirty Rooms, Unsafe for Families & Rude Staff”
I stayed at Ganesh Lodge in Tirupati close to the railway station, and it turned out to be a terrible experience, especially for families heading to Balaji darshan. The rooms were filthy and poorly maintained, with a strong unpleasant odor that made the stay uncomfortable. Cleanliness and basic hygiene were completely absent. Safety and the overall environment were alarming: guests smoked, drank, shouted loudly, and used profanity openly, even opening their room doors and speaking vulgar words, which made us feel unsafe with our family. When we reported this to reception, they simply told us, “Sir, lock your door and don’t open it,” offering no help or action. This response was unacceptable for a paid room. We came for a peaceful pilgrimage, not to endure such a hostile setting. The staff’s behavior was rude, especially after we had already paid; they were uncooperative and seemed eager to charge extra for any delay, as they were very strict about checkout times. Proximity to the railway station does not excuse a lack of basic cleanliness, safety, respectful staff, or a calm environment—especially for families and pilgrims. Think twice before booking Ganesh Lodge if you’re traveling with loved ones.
