The refrigerator was unplugged, so I didn’t know if it worked; there was no breakfast in the morning—only on weekends, which wasn’t listed on the booking page. The GPS routed me past the golf club down the street that runs beside it; it was late, dark, rainy, and the road had very few lights. Maybe adjust the GPS to direct you to the parking lot.

The staff were incredibly friendly and the room stayed spotless; the lobby’s antique display was a real highlight. The spot was ideal, just five minutes from the National Peanut Festival fairgrounds, and we felt we got exactly what we paid for, so we’ll definitely return. On the downside, the building feels older and more out-of-date than a standard hotel, and breakfast was limited to coffee, pastries, and donuts—though we knew this beforehand, so it didn’t spoil the overall experience.
