The location is great, with restaurants nearby, a tasty breakfast, and free on‑site parking. We especially liked the river’s nighttime hum helping us fall asleep.

Situated right in the village center beside the river and just minutes from Slieve League, this place offers self‑check‑in. The room includes an informative sheet about the B&B’s features and a small kitchenette with a kettle, tea, cups, and glasses. Breakfast is continental—cheese, cold cuts, fresh‑baked viennoiseries, breads, spreads, various yogurts, fruits, etc.—and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s the only B&B I’ve visited in Ireland and the UK that has an automated coffee/espresso machine, which was a big plus after days of instant coffee and weak drip. The interior has been updated to a very modern look, which I find fine even though I usually prefer more character in Irish B&Bs. The lack of wall hangings and rugs makes the sound echo a bit. Self‑check‑in is convenient, but there’s no one to greet you, unlike other B&Bs that raise the hospitality factor considerably.
