My Place, Naha, sits a minute’s walk from Tomari Ferry Terminal’s North pier, offering free WiFi and on‑site private parking. Dormitory rooms feature bunk beds with privacy curtains, reading lights, and sockets, some with harbour views. The property includes a fully equipped shared kitchen, lounge with hammocks, and bike hire. Kokusai Dori is 20 minutes away, Tomari Iyumachi Fish Market five minutes, and Naha Airport 20 minutes by car.

The staff were awesome and the vibe among guests in the common areas was really pleasant. We stayed on a Saturday and there was a homemade takoyaki evening that was very enjoyable. The room came fully equipped and spotless. The only downside was the pillows, which were very thin, but we didn’t ask for replacements since it was just one night.

The location right by the port is great, and getting there from the airport is easy. The room itself was spacious.

I used this place for my first Keelung Islands diving trip. The dorm was new to me, so I was nervous. I had shipped heavy gear beforehand and worried it might not be stored safely, but that turned out to be a false alarm. Because my flight was delayed, I arrived late at night, but the staff and other guests in the living area explained the check‑in process politely, so I managed to settle in smoothly. It was a bit tricky to be mindful of the other travelers in the same room, but having showers and toilets in the living area helped keep things quieter. The staff were all foreigners, yet their Japanese was excellent, so communication was never an issue and they handled any problems without trouble.

We booked a private room with two separate beds and its own bathroom. The room was a decent size and felt very secure thanks to building codes and a door lock. The bed itself was very uncomfortable, and there was absolutely no social atmosphere. The staff only helped when we asked. Overall, it was a very mediocre hostel.

The common areas and the room were very clean. The staff were very friendly. At night, some kind of insect bit me while I slept and I woke up with bites all over my body; I was scared it could have been bedbugs, but in the morning we found a carpet beetle in the bed and I wondered if that was the culprit.
