Dave gave a warm welcome, the room was spacious, clean, and cozy, and the hotel’s location was fantastic. The only drawback was the lack of any view from the room—there was literally no view at all.

“Nice room let down by the bed”

The ground‑floor front room was roomy with large windows, a microwave, a fridge, a tiny freezer, a small TV with remote, a nice bathroom, good towels, and decent bedding. However, the bed was terrible; both my partner and I sank into the middle, forcing us to lift ourselves up by the sides, which was horrific and very uncomfortable. When I mentioned it to a staff member, they offered a back‑of‑the‑house room that lacked a microwave and fridge, which was too late because we had just finished shopping and needed those facilities. No other options were provided, so we stayed in the same room for two nights. If there had been an extra quilt, I would have slept on the floor instead of that awful bed. It's a shame; we wouldn't return unless new beds are installed.
