The only impressive thing about the inn was the bathroom—it was the newest facility in the whole place, and there were roughly a dozen parking spots; the rail tracks behind the inn weren’t very noisy. I knew the building was old and went in with low expectations, so it didn’t feel that bad, especially since I snagged a seat at the Nagoka fireworks event and had nowhere else to stay on short notice because everything else was prohibitively expensive. I booked here because the sign said “Hotel” and assumed it was a suite, but it turned out to be a backpacker hostel, so the bathroom was a shared facility outside the rooms, with the toilet on a different side and the shower on the basement floor, both rather dated. Free ice water was available, but nothing was within walking distance—you needed a 5‑10 minute drive for any amenities, and there was a common lounge.
