Good enough breakfast. We took the rooms in a clean state. They were not cleaned in between.

Great location! Breakfast very abundant. Dirty dishes! The wellness area is far too small and very loud, so no peace possible.

I found the hotel great for seniors, with short walks to the restaurants. The half‑board offered a superb three‑course dinner each evening in upscale style, and the spa was a bit farther from the room but open from 9‑22 h, which is rare for other hotels that usually close the pool and sauna earlier. On the downside, some hot dishes at breakfast—eggs, sausages and desserts—arrived cold, and only cold cocoa was available; the coffee was said to taste good. Juice selection was limited to orange or apple juice.

“Licht und Schatten”

The room was very clean and the staff friendly, and the dinner quality was outstanding. The beach is also very close. However, breakfast was unsatisfactory; the dried scrambled eggs had been sitting for a while, and the sausages were in a broken broth. Beside the sausages, there was Kaiserschmarrn with splattered bits also floating in the sausage broth. The fish platter quality was rather subpar. The morning bean salad (apparently a leftover from the lecture) was slimy and had a sting. The dining room feels like it’s from the Gelsenkirchen Baroque of the mid‑sixties. It’s audacious for a four‑star hotel with the corresponding pricing to display in the elevator that rooms are only cleaned every two days, and if more frequent cleaning is desired, guests should be told to ask.
