We stayed on 15 October 2026, and overall the stay was very positive. From check‑in to departure the process was effortless and super fast. The room matched the photos on the website exactly. The beds were very comfortable, and the sheets, pillows, and blankets were in perfect, immaculate condition. For a detail, we were three people and the luggage rack was a bit small; there was plenty of space in the room to add another piece of furniture or a side table, which would be great. The bathroom was fine and functional, though a deeper clean of the shower would help because some black mold was visible in the tile seams. The weakest point was the climate: it was extremely hot in the room and there was no air conditioning or fan. We tried opening the windows to cool down, but the noise from the main avenue was quite annoying for rest. Extras included a coworking area, good Wi‑Fi, and a vending machine where you can buy water or juice (though with limited options). Despite these details, the Hostal Mindanao is highly recommendable; if they polish these small issues, it would be spectacular.

“VERGONZOSO”

The proximity to the city centre was a plus, yet the access was awful: the entrance door uses a digital code that never opened for us or any other guest; every time we left and wanted to reenter the hotel we had to call them, wait for someone to pick up, and have the door opened because there is no front desk—everything is handled by phone. Consequently, when we tried to leave and reenter, we had to rely on them opening the door, and we ended up waiting half an hour. The same happened with our room key, which had to be changed three times because we couldn’t access it. In short, if you wanted to go to bed at 00:00 you had to call at 22:30 to get the hotel access, which is embarrassing. Also, they never changed sheets or towels; the floor was very dirty. Overall, an experience I would not repeat.

“Los códigos de ingreso no funcionaban”

The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was good, but the check‑in system with codes was disastrous. To reach my room I had to climb three flights of stairs.
