Cempaka Kembar Guest House in Ubud offers a private pool overlooking terraced rice fields, a verdant garden, and a spacious terrace for sunset views. Air‑conditioned rooms feature kitchenettes, balconies, and private baths, while a fireplace and outdoor dining area enhance relaxation. Located 5 km from Saraswati Temple and 6 km from Monkey Forest, it is a short drive from Tegallalang Rice Terrace, Blanco Museum, and Ngurah Rai Airport.

Very nice establishment, and of good quality! A little far from the center but Grab is fast enough. There is no small fridge, and it’s right next to a construction zone, so there is early‑morning noise.

We asked the staff to let our laundry air‑dry after washing, but it was still wet after two days and had been damaged. The prints on the T‑shirts looked crinkled, the clothes smelled like smoke, and there were still stains that I had to hand‑wash.

The staff were very friendly and helped us with everything; you can get massages in the villa, rent a scooter, and other activities are offered, though we didn’t try them. The place is stunning, with only three villas, so you’re mostly alone by the pool. It’s 20 minutes from Ubud center by Grab, though traffic can affect that. The only downside is that at night many stray dogs barked every few minutes, and there were plenty of mosquitoes and spiders in the room.

Owned by a nice young couple, this place is by far the most professionally run property in Ubud. There are three detached villas—each with its own kitchen—so you’re not sharing walls, and they’re all around a pool. The owners are always on site. Cleaning and garbage removal follow a strict schedule that’s rare in Ubud. The pool is cleaned often, and gardening is handled by other staff. I was surprised by how professional they are; the owner Kadek has no hotel background, yet he runs this place better than most hotels I know. The bed, furniture, and bathroom are all nice, with no off‑smell and good water pressure, which is uncommon in Ubud. The choice of soap dispensers, a high‑wattage kettle, etc., shows the owners’ care. Both Kadek and his wife Wayan are very kind; they even ask, “Is it OK if I take your trash?” You won’t see such details elsewhere. The property is not in Ubud center, but I recommend it.
