“Catfish”
The location was good and the breakfast from the cafe next door was fab, plus the host was very kind. However, we stayed in room 1 and couldn’t lock the door; the door had to be removed from the frame and put back on. One afternoon we returned to find uneaten rice on our porch with hundreds of ants around it – disgusting. The ‘plunge pool’ pictured is not available, and the shower was either scalding hot at +55 degrees or stone cold with no pressure. The room was tiny with very little space to manoeuvre. We struggled to find the place because the location is wrong and so is the name; it’s actually called Bulul Mountain Resort. There are only 4 rooms, and it seems the family lives in 2 of them, so there’s always so many people around and it feels like we were constantly being watched. Construction banging at the property started before 8am most mornings, 3.0/10.
