“Perfect stay!”
Property was very clean and the staff was great! Everyone was so welcoming. Kelly our bartender was great!. N/a
“1st time to the area and staying here, will definitely be back.”
Everything was great, clean and comfortable room. Polite staff and service. Would have liked the pool side bar to stay open a little later than 6:00pm
Location. Staff so so
“The hotel itself is fine, but the lack of genuine hospitality from staff made for a frustrating stay. We watched multip”
Zota is in a great location and has great beach access. The hotel itself is fine, but the lack of genuine hospitality from staff made for a frustrating stay. We watched multiple bellboys notice us unpacking our own luggage — they even held our room door open — yet none offered to help. It seems help is only available if a tip is offered upfront, which shouldn’t be the expectation for basic service. The pool area had similar issues. The attendant stationed at the towel station spent most of her time on her phone, didn’t clear out unused towels from open seats, and wasn’t able to answer basic questions when we asked. The beach staff were pleasant enough, but getting water felt like it required tipping on top of the 20% we were already giving just to have our towels laid out. Overall, a property with potential, let down by a staff culture that treats basic service as something to be paid for twice
“Fabulous private beach hotel, great location - with a pool that makes you want to stay all day.”
The valet staff, front desk staff, housekeeping staff, bar staff and beach staff were all excellent. Fabulous views, great set up on the beach, and prompt and courteous service. I tipped generously. The bar food was terrible. I sent back the “lettuce wraps” because they weren’t lettuce wraps at all — just cold, hard chicken drowned in an unpleasant hot sauce and presented like a salad. The blackened chicken quesadillas were scorched, overcooked, and tasted reheated multiple times. If the food can’t taste freshly made, it shouldn’t be on the menu. Honestly, take it off. By contrast, the food at Viento was much better — especially the charcuterie board. My fish tacos also arrived missing ingredients listed on the menu, and I had to ask for them. So, What is going on in the kitchen? The bathroom maintenance was unacceptable. There was messy, gunky caulk around the baseboards, sloppy repairs in the bathroom, and broken knobs missing from the wood cabinet. Both the bar menu and maintenance situation felt far below the premium experience I paid for on this vacation. Also, the hot tub needs to be cleaned more often or have better filtration
